This blog explores the definition of Leadership, the gaps in current leadership knowledge and qualities, and how to achieve “Soul Filled Leadership.”

Generating Noble Energy with Discovering Goodness

Defining Leadership

You can define leadership as "fostering strong relationships with individuals and teams alike and ensuring that all reach their full potential while, importantly, achieving organizational goals."

This has nothing to do with their emotional state.

So what is Soul Filled Leadership?

We define it as 'Co-Creation Complementary', meaning, many people coming together on a joint vision to create goodness where everyone wins.

Or, said another way, Soul Filled Leadership is where each person in the team achieves their commitment to each other, while manifesting abundance in authentic happiness and well-being.

Therefore, the vision of Soul Filled Leadership is where people become happier and healthier even as the business demands more from them each day and where leaders can for the first time be measured, in real time, by the positive emotional impact their leadership style has on their team.

There are Gaps in Current Leadership Knowledge and Qualities

The primary measure of successful leadership today is whether leaders have met or surpassed the end goal they signed up to achieve.

Whilst this is critical, we would ask:

  1. What about the emotional state of each team member?

  2. What about the emotional state of the leader/s?

  3. How have the leadership knowledge and qualities executed impacted the “true culture” of the team/organization?

The typical answer is that these elements are not measured. Instead, we generally only measure the financial impact of the team and their leaders.

Our Research Reveals These Gaps In Today’s Leadership

What we've found through decades of experience in managing and serving organizations across more than 30 countries is that:

  1. Leaders are generally seen as unempathetic people who manage their teams with a maniacal focus on the end in mind, who operate under extreme pressure to perform, and who do not tend to lead by example (do as I say and not as I do).

  2. They inspire through hype when things are going well, and fear when things are not going so well.

  3. They're not focused on the general well-being of the people in their team and yet expect people to work more with less to ensure targets are met under all circumstances. If not, you are replaceable.

  4. They're not measured on the objective metrics that align to the 27 categories of Position Emotions that we as humans need to vibrate through to be the best version of ourselves.

  5. Not only to deliver on the metrics that we sign up to - but to do so while manifesting abundance in authentic happiness and well-being.

The general outcome of this type of leadership results in the destruction of our people’s mindset, positive emotions, and health.

Horizontal Development vs Vertical Development

In the corporate world, we have an abundance of horizontal development content being the educational material and courses to assist people to do more with less. This has got us to a state of negative emotional saturation.

What's Missing is the Vertical Development

Vertical development is the transformation of mindsets and the expansion of consciousness. It is about growing our mental, emotional, and interpersonal capacities to navigate the ambiguities and complexities of leadership.

Today’s Leaders and Their People Need Vertical Development Knowledge and Need It NOW.

Imagine a virtual mind coach for elite athletes designed and developed specifically for the business world.

This knowledge is now available.

It's called Discovering Goodness®️

With the launch of the Discovering Goodness®️ Corporate Empowerment Program, each member of your organization now has available to them, knowledge that results in Positive Emotions, that they can yield at their job function level and their personal lives, as they perform at consistent peak levels, similar to elite athletes.

Additionally, a key deliverable from this new knowledge is that for the first time ever, the organization will be able to measure the Positive Emotional outcomes of each person as they regularly self-assess their progress, and begin to consistently perform at the peak levels you expect from them.

The ultimate outcome is that each person in your organization will have a mindful and real-time awareness of positive thoughts, that create positive actions, yielding them Peak Performance and Authentic Happiness while your organization benefits from a healthy, high-performance culture where peak performance and well-being is the natural state of vibration of your people.
